Durwin Avron D'Souza is an independent artist, guitarist, songwriter, and music producer from Kerala, India. His musical journey began at a young age, inspired by his father, and he later pursued his passion for audio engineering and music production at the Muzik Lounge School of Audio & Technology in Chennai. Durwin made his debut in music production with the single “Sweet Home,” followed by the releases of “Ever Young,” “Droplets,” and “Hey Time.”
Known for his distinctive approach, Durwin fuses Carnatic music with modern guitar riffs, blending Indian classical elements with electronic rock. His innovative style has earned him recognition, with his music being featured by BBC Asian Radio and Rolling Stone magazine.
Durwin is the lead guitarist for the band Madras Mail the Band, and he is also part of Solid, a band led by renowned pianist Stephen Devassy. Throughout his career, he has had the privilege of sharing the stage with legendary artists such as Shankar Mahadevan, Shaan, Hariharan, S.P. Balasubrahmanyam, L. Shankar, Haricharan, Naresh Iyer, Alaap Raju, Balabhaskar, Sooraj Santosh, Siddharth Menon, Vijay Prakash, Mohini Dey, Jino Banks, and Rajesh Vaidya. Durwin has collaborated with major guitar brands like PRS and was recognised as a PRS Pulse Artist.
Durwin is now an artist endorsed by the prestigious brand FGN (Fujigen Guitars), a testament to his musical expertise and dedication to his craft. He has also contributed to numerous projects for top music directors in the Indian film industry.
